The runs below are for the experienced paddlers or those wanting a workout.
The river is narrower and most of the time real low which means walking occasionally. Camping is limited on the trips below, a lot higher bank terrain. All these sections are wilderness trips. River condition reports are welcome. These trips are only available if the river is at the normal or above water levels.
Prices for the below runs are $35 per day per canoe for two people plus the transportation to the put-in. (Transportation fees: to Wauchula- $25.00, to Bowling Green-$35.00, to Ft. Meade-$40.00, to Homeland-$45.00, to Bartow-$50.00. All prices are per canoe or kayak plus tax. Transportation for each vessel is 1/2 price after the first vessel.
Note: All mileages are to the Arcadia dock. Add 1.5 miles to the boat ramp off SR 70, which is the end of the official Peace River Paddle Trail.
